History
This guesthouse on the corner of the narrow Oberthürgasse was taken over by Michael Erb in 1908. By 1911 he had transformed it into today's Hotel "Würzburger Hof". He advertised it big in the local newspaper:

Major damage was caused during WW II and reconstruction, with love for details, lasted from 1946 to 1950. Those who came from the central station to the city centre via the Kaiserstraße could see from the distance, the fine stuccowork on the facade with the golden letters "Würzburger Hof", which are still prominent nowadays. It was and still is, the first adress in Würzburg. The former restaurant has been replaced by a bank but on the floors above 34 comfortable rooms eagerly await the guests which are welcomed by the granddaughter of the Hotel's founder and her staff.
